UBC Botanical Garden Wedding Ceremony and Cecil Green Wedding Reception
Featured in Rocky Mountain Bride
It’ll likely come as no surprise when I tell you I absolutely adore heritage buildings/sites as wedding venues. There are several beautiful options to choose from in Vancouver and Cecil Green House is one of my favourites.
If I had to try and describe K & T’s wedding (as well as K & T themselves) in the most simplified terms, it would be glamorous and cool. Simultaneously gorgeous and stylish human beings, their day was precisely what I imagined it would be.
Starting at their downtown Vancouver apartment, K and her close friends and family got ready for the wedding together with the help of some of my favourite local Vancouver hair and makeup artists. Wearing probably my number one bridal robe of the season (one that has already been inquired about by a couple of my upcoming brides) K also exchanged letters and gifts with her bridesmaids and her mother.
Something of note about K & T’s day is that they opted not to have a ‘first look’. Their first time seeing each other was during the ceremony (which means the portraits of just the two of them happen during cocktail hour.) But, K did have a first look moment with her father - and, as you can see, it was an incredibly sweet moment.
Meanwhile, down the road, T and the guys were able to get ready at a leisurely pace. Enjoying a couple drinks and what eventually became a mini photoshoot with my second photographer before making their way to the ceremony.
