Old World Charm Destination Wedding at Chateau Martinay
If I’m being totally honest, the south of France was not high on my travel radar but after these few days in Provence that has totally changed. In the heart of the French countryside is a hidden gem of a venue that ticks all my favourite boxes: old world aesthetics, beautiful and unique landscaping, on-site accommodations, and a variety of photo-ready settings. Chateau Martinay is an enchanting estate that captures the essence of sophistication and tranquility and invites visitors to immerse themselves in a world of rich history and create unforgettable memories.
When designing this gorgeous affair at Chateau Martinay, Amanda of AMV Weddings used the colours and landscape of the venue as her primary source of inspiration. She incorporated subtle tones in the palette with touches of creamy ivory and shades of eggshell to compliment the stunning chateau. The ceremony was set in the iconic cyprus alley. Featuring a lush double arch with a pop of bright florals at the centre, the ceremony was positioned right at the centre of the trees.
The reception table was set in the main chateau courtyard, with the exterior of the building serving as a breathtaking backdrop. This grand elongated table design made for the perfect balance between a statement tablescape yet featured a very intimate welcoming element with warm neutral tones. The florals by La Maison Dautel enhanced the design with an elevated, luxe European style.
